European Doors
I took thousands of pictures while we were in Europe. I was so fascinated by the green landscape, wildflowers, medieval buildings, fresco paintings. But, I think one of my favorite things to shoot were the doors.
They are all unique. Big, small, beautifully hand carved, rustic, etc. Some were framed by unbelievable doorways, some by landscape, some not by anything other than their own individuality. The stories these doors could tell.
Some were hard to get a good picture due to the lighting but I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
Windows
Top picture – This was my bedroom window in La Mala where we stayed the first night in Cinque Terre (Vernazza). It had no glass, it was a castle like window. The only thing you could see was the Mediterranean Sea. At night you could hear the waves crashing on the rocks and smell the salty sea water. It gave me a sense of what it was like living in a castle.
